OURHISTORY

Pastors Bob and Rhonda Obert founded the church in 1987. It was then known as Hosanna Christian Fellowship.

After a number of years, the church became Vineyard Scotts Valley after joining the Vineyard Community of Churches,)

keeping with the Vineyard vision and values; including but not limited to: hands on prayer, healing ministry and evangelism. The church had a strong and faithful focus not only to a hands-on prayer ministry,

but also homeless outreach and ministering to those in need in our community and around the globe.

In 2018, Bob and Rhonda retired, passing the torch to Pastor Emmet and Stacy Blue, who continue to bring God's love and healing to those inside and outside the church's doors.

OURVISION

 A Worshipping Community

We believe that worship must be at the heart of all we do as a church. True worship is to honor God as revealed to us in Jesus Christ -- not only in our music, but in our words, actions and attitudes.

A Healing Community

We believe that everyone needs the forgiveness and healing that come from God. As people of God, we are given power and authority from Jesus to continue His work on Earth.

An Equipping Community

We believe all who follow Jesus are called to continue His ministry. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we teach and study the Bible with an emphasis on the skills needed for daily living and effective service.

An Expanding Community

We believe Jesus died on the cross to bring all people into God's family. As his children, it's our privilege to communicate this good news to our communities and our world, and to convey His forgiveness and healing to all.

A Biblical Community

The Vineyard Church holds to the historical, biblical, Christian faith as expressed in the Statement of Faith of the Association of Vineyard Churches.

Meet The Team

Pastor Emmet &
Stacy Blue

Emmet is a 4th generation Pastor who is trying to figure out how to serve Jesus in Santa Cruz county.

He has made embarrassing mistakes all around the world, hopefully learning lessons and loving a few people along the way. His wife Stacy and their three kids are proof he got a few things right.

He wants everyone to know he owns many books and has even read a few of them. He tries to go easy on the C.S. Lewis quotes but makes no promises about 'Lord of the Rings' or sports analogies

Chuck York

Chuck is our Assistant Pastor. He has a real servant's heart and does a bit of everything here at the church. He leads the hospitality ministry, oversees the set up and break down each Sunday morning and he also leads the Men's Group every Thursday at 6:30pm.

Oh yeah.. he also plays on the worship team and helps organize our monthly homeless outreach. Chuck generally knows what's going on, who's doing what and who to ask if anyone has a question.

If you need to know anything all, Chuck is the man to ask.
